Ranking the Top Ten Most Common Trick or Treat Candies

These are my personal top ten rankings of some of the most common Halloween candies. This was a tough list to make due to some controversy, but I hope you enjoy them.

  1. Snickers are my personal favorite due to them being very chocolaty, crunchy, and filling. Although there may be some controversy with this decision, I stand by it.
  1. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are one of the best Halloween candies. You can enjoy them with milk and are a super nice treat to have during the holiday.
  1. M&Ms are super popular, and for good reason. They are small, crunchy, and sweet candies that have many different fillings to enjoy.
  1. Skittles are a favorite candy amongst most trick-or-treaters mainly because they taste sweet, but also sour, which leaves you wanting more. A is also the popular debate about which color is the best, although I prefer green.
  1. Kitkat’s have that delicious crunch and are shareable. The wafer with chocolate is good and it’s the perfect candy to find in your trick-or-treat bag.
  1. Baby Ruths are a nice treat to have once or twice, but after two it’s hard to eat another one. They aren’t as good as the other candies and often one you trade for something better.
  1. Butterfingers are one of the most common and classic Halloween candies, but compared to other newer candies, they just can’t compete. Although the crunchy texture is appealing, they are slightly too sweet.
  1. Twizzlers taste like rubber. Unless you like chewing on electrical wire, this candy deserves the 8th spot.
  1. Dots are one of the worst-tasting Halloween candies you can eat for multiple reasons. They are chewy and stick to your teeth, and Dots usually taste like candle wax, no matter what flavor you choose.
  1. Tootsie Rolls are very common as Halloween treats but they can barely be considered a treat, as they are one of the worst candies you can put in your body. They taste like you’re eating something sweet, salty, chocolate, and waxy all in one candy. On USA Today, tootsie rolls are ranked in the top ten worst candies. “In terms of Halloween candy they are kinda mid” said Michelle Wang.”

That’s just my personal top ten Halloween candies rankings. Everyone has different preferences whether it’s sour, chocolate, or fruity flavored candy, Halloween brings a mix of classic and new treats everyone can enjoy.
