Letter From the Editor

Dear Readers,

Thank you for joining us for the inaugural 2025 edition of The Forge! While 2024 was a momentous year that saw many changes both in the SBHS world and beyond, in 2025, we will see the results of these changes. In 2025 we will bear witness as a new presidential administration takes effect, the search for a new SBHS principal to replace the retiring Principal Razo, and watch as the 150th graduating class walks across the stage to grab their diploma in June. As we enter this new year, 2025 provides us with an opportunity to reflect on the past year while also finding new ways to support ourselves and one another.

I encourage SBHS students to use this time to make a necessary change. Whether that’s as small as drinking more water, or as big as volunteering around town, we can welcome in this new year by making ourselves better. When we support ourselves, we have renewed strength to support our community at large. At The Forge, we will take this opportunity to renew our commitment to delivering the news that needs attention at SBHS. We have many exciting editions to come, and we will use them to provide the information most important to students. The Forge is looking forward to spending 2025 with you, and we hope you’ll continue reading and staying involved with the SBHS community.

Later,

Mary Moses
